Centre Activity Highlights 2014

Here are some of the highlights for CIES in year 2014:

  • The annual CIES Symposium was held again on Thursday 6th November 2014 with the theme: “National Road and Rail Infrastructure - Structural Engineering Perspectives for Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure”.
  • November saw the announcement of the highly competitive Australian Research Council (ARC) grants. CIES was once again extremely successful with ten staff featuring on five ARC Grants totalling close to $2 million for 2015
